Adopt a Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Hey, there! Patty here! I arrived a few weeks ago at rescue with my “sister” Brooke. She was bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and only part-JRT … and she got scooped up almost immediately by someone with our sister rescue. Me? I was a little feisty at first. You know, your typical full-blooded female JRT, not putting up with much of anything or anyone. I loved the people here, but I wasn’t a fan of these other dogs around me and felt I needed to put them in their place … and, well, I tried to. Oops.

But that was then, this is now. I’ve chilled out a bit since being at JRT-U. I understand we must all get along. I don’t have to like it and I still think I’m the queen and would prefer to be an only dog or with a dog who understands that I’m the queen, but … it’s time for me to move on and find a home like everyone else.

I’m smart as a whip and cute as a button … whatever those things mean. They just tell me that. I am great on a leash, know how to sit/sit up, and I even learned agility recently—in a heartbeat! I’m focused and treat-driven, so I would be great at sports. Essentially, I need a parent(s) who understands the unique personality of JRTs or similar breeds.

Temperament: Gets along with kids, very laid back dogs otherwise better to be only dog.  Cats unknown

Training: Housetraining unknown, Crate-trained

Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative
